So on P days we play this card game called Munchkin. You should play it if you get a chance.
I went on splits for the first time this week! It was great. I led a contact with this guy and we taught him how to pray, in Swedish. That was super duper :D We even got his number. We also taught a lesson to a potential investigator and I helped with a major part of it in Swedish. It was great. She said she has a bunch of friends too that she wants to bring. So that is amazing.
The next day we went to a member lesson and they took us to lunch. I want to avoid just talking about all my mission food but I figure as long as that is not all I talk about haha So they have Kebab here. It is really good and they put it on pizza. and then they put fries on top of the pizza. It is just really really good. Different a little but good. look up kebab pizza.
Elder Johnson lost his bus card the day before we needed to go to Norrköping and that was just super. We went to talk to a lady to see if we could get it renewed and she said nope. Then the next day (Midsommer Afton, a holiday) someone else also said it was impossible. Then one lady was like, ahh well it is a holiday and gave him a free replacement. God always answers prayers.
So in Sweden they have holidays but they always celebrate on the eve. So Midsommers Afton (eve) is the actual holiday. So they play music and everyone gets in a big circle and dances around the maple. I took some videos I will try to get home. We actually had permission to participate so we danced and experienced the culture here in Sweden. It was great. A member fed us. They made too much food so they kept saying, "Frankman," whenever they wanted something eaten and I was happy to oblige. At first... Then they just kept feeding me. It was so so funny. They had root beer! Which people here don't like... But I finally had root beer in Sweden. I was so happy :D They all claim that it tastes like toothpaste. I think they are crazy. We went to go see a castle. I thought it was going to be like cobblestone but it was just a big older looking building from the 18th century. The outside of the castle though, like the landscaping was beautiful and huge. I will send some pictures of that too eventually haha.
They don't have anything spicy in Sweden. Anywhere. Okay that is a lie. They have sriracha sauce at one store I have found. But they don't like spicy food. :'(
My district leader said something quotable this week, "Jesus Christ wants to save each and every person, therefore he will not let us fail." I really feel like this work is moving and it is about to go! I know that Christ can help us with anything if we ask. Thank you all for prayers!
Sincerely,
Elder Frankman
